Edmund Phillips Blackwell

"Ed" was on the board at Shades Mountain Independent Church. He later was ordained as an elder in the Presbyterian Church PCA, serving on the session of Evangel Presbyterian Church PCA in Alabaster, AL. He loved the Lord Jesus with all of his heart and led many people to a saving knowledge of Him.

Ed was predeceased by his parents, Eleanor Cobb Blackwell and Paul Houston Blackwell; one brother, James W. Blackwell; and one daughter, Laura Lee Fulton.

Survivors include Ed's wife of 53 years, Lynda Baker Blackwell; one son, Edmund Phillips "Eddie" Blackwell, Jr. and his wife Kristi; one brother, Paul Houston Blackwell, Jr. and his wife Nancy; one sister, Barbara Simmons; and four grandchildren, Alexandria Elizabeth Fulton, Abby Lauralee Blackwell, Hays Edmund Blackwell, and Logan Phillips Blackwell.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Evangel Presbyterian Church PCA in Alabaster, with the Celebration of Ed's Life immediately following at 12 noon at the church. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, AL. Rev. David Maginnis and Rev. Alex Goodsell will officiate.
