Elizabeth West Edgar passed away April 10, 2016 at the age of 62. She is survived her children, Carol Elizabeth Edgar, Allen West Edgar, Louise (Kara) West Witsiepe, Jonathan West Witsiepe; grandchild, Caroline Reese Witsiepe; sister, Rebecca West Hagewood, Deborah Susan Hinkle; nieces and nephews, Christopher (Meghan) West Hagewood, Nicholas (Kaylyn) West Hagewood, Parker West, Rilee Kate, Joy and Joseph Giambrone. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Phillip Allen Edgar. Elizabeth loved her job as the director of nursing at Alabama Clinical Schools and previously director of psych services at Children’s Hospital of Alabama. She was a member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church for 31 years. Elizabeth was very active in her community and in Boy Scouts, she regularly volunteered as a chaperone for any local events. There will be a visitation at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church on Monday the 11th from 6pm to 8pm; the funeral service will follow at the church on Tuesday at 12 noon.
