Gail graduated from West End High School and attended the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She worked at Rust Engineering, Raytheon, Med Partners, Caremark, and Alatax throughout her career. She attended Mountain Brook Baptist Church, and her other pastimes included traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret Blake. Survivors include one sister, Cheryl Calvert and her husband, Jimmy Calvert; niece, Stacey Calvert Blakemore, her husband Doug Blakemore, and their children Maddie, Walt, and Jack; and a nephew, Jeff Calvert, his wife Wendy Calvert, and their children Josh, Eli, and Abbi.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama, immediately followed by the 2 p.m.
Celebration of Life Service in Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
