A resident of Helena, Alabama, he was the son of the late C.E. and Nell Carter. He was a loving and beloved Christian, husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. Gary was survived by his wife, Rhonda Carter, and their children, Clint Carter (wife - Tracey Carter) and Michelle McGraw (husband - Michael McGraw). He had four grandchildren, Tate and Cole Carter and Carter and Luke McGraw. Gary also leaves behind two sisters, Peggy C. Dunaway and Debra Jo Carter, as well as a brother-in-law, Ronald Campbell, and sister-in-law, Sandra Campbell. In addition, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Lillye Mae Campbell, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Gary was a special man and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was laid to rest at Helena Cemetery on Tuesday, October 15, 2013.
