Ms. Basic was a successful accountant and controller for the automobile industry. She enjoyed golf and gardening. She was preceded in death by her late husband. LT. Col. Nick J. Basic, her brothers, Harold Morrison and Dr. Troy L. Morrison, and sister, Inez Morrison. She is survived by daughter, Kathy Morrison (John Ward), granddaughters, Sara and Kendall Ward. Also, step-daughter Julia Brackeen (Dr. Gary Brackeen), and grandchildren, Lauren Waycaster (Dr. Garrett Waycaster) Grant Brackeen (Stephanie Brackeen) and great grandchildren, Gabby, Natalie, and Corrin. She will be missed by family and friends.
A graveside service for Geraldine will be held Sunday, July 3, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Southern Heritage Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124.
