Jack served in the Navy during World War II, graduated from the University of Alabama, and was employed at Protective Life Insurance Co. He was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Class for many years.
Survivors include Jack's loving wife, Myra Smith Gray; son, Jeffery G. Gray; daughter-in-law, Nancy; grandson, Austin Gray; and special friends, members of the Fellowship Class and Robert Rube, and Etta and Tom Brock.
The Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The private inurnment will follow in Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Music Fund of Bluff Park United Methodist Church, Birmingham.
