

Jim Farlow, 92, of Hoover, AL, went to be with the Lord on September 13, 2017. Retired from ACIPCO as steel foundry superintendent. Was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and a 1949 graduate of Auburn University. An avid golfer, was a member of Chace Lake Country Club and Inverness Country Club. Also, active member, Trinity United Methodist Church, Homewood, AL.
Jim is survived by his wife, Mary Steadman Farlow. He was predeceased by his first wife, Viviane Jolly Farlow; two brothers, T.J. Farlow and Vann Farlow; and a sister, Joyce Hunt. Survivors also include Jim and Viviane's children, Cliff Farlow (Carol) and Leslie Farlow; grandchildren, Will (Liz) and Rachael; sister, Gerri Dye (Roy) of Mobile, AL; Mary Steadman Farlow's children, Joel Steadman (Amy Bullock) and Jennifer Greene (Raymond); grandchildren, Olivia Greene, Amanda Lawley (Derek), and Paul Greene (fiancé Cayla Mitchell); and great-grandchildren, Harper Lawley and Scarlet Lawley; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Ridout's Southern Heritage, Pelham, AL, immediately followed by the service at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham.
Memorial gifts may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in Birmingham, AL, and to the Alzheimer's Association of Alabama.
