

Jim is predeceased by his father and mother, Boyd Maxwell Reddinger and Hilda Carlson Reddinger. He is survived by his wife, Donna Cunningham Reddinger; son, Robert Reddinger; daughter, Paige Reddinger; as well as his loving cousins and many close friends.
Jim was a graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science – Marketing degree in 1965. He served as a member of the U.S. Army Reserve from 1966-1972.
Jim was previously employed by Brockway Glass Company, prior to joining the Buffalo Rock/Pepsi-Cola Company in 1970. Jim attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business/Executive Program for Small Companies in 1979, and participated in numerous Pepsi-Cola Management Institute Seminars with the Buffalo Rock/Pepsi-Cola Company. He was a past president of the Alabama Bottlers Association and recognized with the Association’s Distinguished Service Award.
Jim retired as the Chief Operating Officer of Buffalo Rock/Pepsi-Cola in 2004, having worked for the company for 34 years. He continued to serve on the company’s board of directors as well as a trustee of several company entities.
Jim served on multiple committees and boards in the bottling industry as well as serving as a board director of Compass Bank. He was also a board member of the Boy Scouts of America National Executive Board as well as serving on Southern regional boards for the Boy Scouts. He was the recipient of the Silver Beaver Award, the Silver Antelope Award, and the Silver Buffalo Award, the highest awards that can be received as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America.
Jim was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church and in his spare time he loved golf, hunting, hiking, boating, fishing, and travel. Jim was a loving husband to his wife Donna and a wonderful father to his children Robert and Paige, who loved him immeasurably. He was a leader and a dear and loyal friend to many and will be greatly missed by the many lives he has touched.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Brookwood Baptist Church, 3449 Overton Road, Mountain Brook, AL 35223. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the service from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
