After graduating from Ensley High School, Janice earned an associate degree from Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama. For several years, she enjoyed helping women and girls in group home care.
Janice was a member of Garywood Assembly of God. In her leisure, she loved flower gardening, telling stories, spending time with her family, and caring for her many cats.
Janice was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Watkins, and a son, Phillip Kerry Green. She is survived by her two sons, Christopher Green (Marlyss) and Patrick C. Green; two grandsons, Matthew Green and Andrew Green; great-granddaughter, Imy Green; and one sister, Katie Watkins.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama from 10-11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 19 at Pinetuckey Baptist Church Cemetery in Double Springs, Alabama.
