

Jeff, a Homewood High School graduate, worked for over 30 years in the printing and transaction mail industry. He was a member of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church.
Jeff was a deeply devoted husband, a loving, proud father of two wonderful children, and a lover of an organized "fridge." For many years in support of his children's athletics, Jeff coached soccer, baseball, and basketball teams.
Jeff was predeceased by his parents, Mary Martha East Motes and Thomas "Tommy" Jefferson Motes, Sr.; one uncle, Arnold Ewing; and one aunt, Margaret Loggins.
Survivors include Jeff's wife of 36 years, Carrie Bienvenu Motes; one daughter, Morgan Nicole Motes; one son, Matthew Edward Motes; one brother, Johnny "Rocky" East Motes (the former Beverly Cork); nephew, Jonathon Neal Motes; aunt, Genelle Ewing; uncle, Lester Loggins; and many other relatives.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL, immediately followed by the 12 noon Celebration of Jeff's Life in Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel. Burial, Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Dr. Bob Flayhart will officiate.
