Jerry graduated from Wildwood High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961-1965. He ended his professional career as Vice President of Compliance for Lewis Petroleum Company in Jacksonville, Florida after 35 years.
Jerry was an active member in Birmingham, Alabama of Valleydale Church, where he was involved in many mentoring and missions projects.
He is survived by his wife, Chyleen Patricia Kriner Stapp, to whom he was wed on June 27, 1964; two children, Tracy Stapp (Sharon) of Jacksonville, Florida and Tamara Blankinchip (Dennis) of Pelham; grandchildren, Megan Stapp, Hunter Stapp, and Hannah Blankinchip; and one brother, Lee Stapp of Tallahassee, Florida.
The family will greet friends on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Valleydale Church, Birmingham from 10-11 a.m., followed by the Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at the church, 2324 Valleydale Road, Birmingham, AL 35244.
