

Johanna Kerzic Pollard "Jo" awakened to eternal life on Saturday July 29, 2017. She was born on February 19, 1933 the first child to Louis Ludwig Kerzic and Roberta Boyer Kerzic in Deatsville AL. While the family has mourned her presence in our lives for some time, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is once again joyous and sparkling. She was raised in Mobile, AL. and attended Murphy High School as well as Huntingdon College in Montgomery AL. While raising her family, Jo was active in volunteer and social groups in Mobile, Montgomery, and Birmingham as well as Jackson MS. She added spark and enthusiasm to all of these endeavors. Jo was a wonderful daughter, sister and mother and has been greatly missed by her family. She loved her family, tennis, volunteering shopping and fun. Her home was always welcoming and open. The mark she has left on this world is immeasurable, because of her each us will remain truly blessed. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jack Richard Pollard, her brothers Lt. Col. Robert L. Kerzic, Ret.(Faye), and Karl William Kerzic(Vickie). Her children, Leigh Farrell Burke (Jim) and Jay Richard Pollard (Sonya ). Her grandchildren are Mackenzie Leigh Farrell, Charlie Crawford Farrell, Jack Christian Farrell, Jackson Robert Pollard and Hannah Lea Pollard. The funeral service will be held on Thursday August 3, 2017 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 10 AM -11 AM. The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale Memory Care and Brookdale Skilled Nursing Facility for their care.
