

Jack worked in the sanitation department for the City of Binghamton for 30 + years working in many positions and ended his career as a supervisor.
He was very proud of his Irish heritage and loved celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with his family. In his younger years, he liked to bowl, golf and would enjoy picnics at Cole Park with his family. He liked watching football, baseball, Price is Right, Soaps, FOX News, listening to music and going to Diners for breakfast with his family. He really found enjoyment with two specific things which were lottery scratch off tickets and any type of sweets .
He was predeceased by his parents Edward & Viola Gaffney, Bob Gaffney (Brother), Catherine Garner (Sister), and Debbie Badaloni (Daughter).
He is survived by his children Shelly & Mike Kaminsky, Bob Gaffney, Kellie & Rick Vanfleet, John Gaffney. His Grandchildren Joe & Jackie Badaloni, Megan Shimer, Brian Kaminsky, Chris, Jenna & Caitlin Gaffney, Mollie, Maggie, Rickie & Rylie Vanfleet, Caden Gaffney. Several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins. Helen Gaffney and Jessica Fellows.
Jack was a kind person to those who knew him and always said it does not cost you anything to say hello to someone. So, to honor our father, be kind to a stranger and tell someone you love them.
