John William White

September 3, 1947 – February 26, 2018

John William White, 70 of Birmingham, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018. John was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was an Auburn University graduate and an avid Auburn sports fan. He and his wife, Sandra, are long time members of Lakeside Baptist Church, where Mr. White was a Sunday school teacher and deacon. He also enjoyed singing in the choir. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

Mr. White is preceded in death by his father, Henry Eugene White. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Kenady White; children, John Michael White (Terra) and Kelly Elizabeth White; mother, Minnie Jean White; sister, Anna White Minick; and grandchildren, Morgan, Grace, Chance, Scout and Aubrey.

The celebration of John’s life will begin with a visitation from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, followed by an 11:30am memorial service at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Friday morning.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the general fund at Lakeside Baptist Church.
