Survivors include his parents, Lloyd Allen Dear and Mary Miller Dear; three aunts, Geri Dear Heptinstall, Judy Miller Smith, and Nancy Miller Silas; and numerous cousins.
Jonathan was a member of Valleydale Church. He was a special and creative person with a great love for nature, wildlife and animals. He was a talented artist, loving son, nephew and cousin, and his sweet spirit will be with us always.
Visitation will be Monday evening, August 4, 2014 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Eulaton Baptist Church Cemetery in Anniston. Pallbearers will be cousins, Jeff Smith, Judd Smith, Jett Smith, Zack Silas, Eddie Heptinstall, Michael Heptinstall, and David Heptinstall.
