The family of Jay Hall would like to thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy.  The love and support is much appreciated in the tragic passing of our loved one.  It has been a true comfort that Jay has left a legacy of being loved by so many, not only as a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, but a wonderful friend to so many.

I worked with Jay in IT for the last 15 years. He was a wonderful person and when my daughter was involved in a serious accident he called me and told me not to worry about my job just take care of my daughter. He had my unit manager and I to come to his desk a few days after the accident and he told my manager that I would be allowed to work from home to help take care of her. He said if "anyone" had a problem to have them come see him. He was very perceptive about people which worked in all of our favor. My husband and I met Laura at he Bonefish Grill one Friday and he came over with his drink to speak. He was always very caring and loving. He loved his family. He told me about his trip with Laura to Paris after we had returned from Italy. He said their hotel was close to the Eiffel Tower and they had wine in their room and enjoyed the light show. I respected how much he loved his family. Laura I hope you read this because he said that trip to Paris was one of the most memorable times to him. To love and be loved is such a beautiful gift from the heart. You will always carry those memories and they will give you comfort and support.

BCBS and the Bulldawg Nation lost a great man but he'll never be forgotten. I will always remember his smile as we passed in the hallways and our conversations (good and bad) about UGA. I appreciated and respected the man and I'm very sorry for your loss. Go Dawgs and Sic Em Jay.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Jay was the most genuine and approachable person I have ever worked with.  His contagious laugh was engaging.  He will be greatly missed.

So sorry to hear about the Hall's loss.  Jay and I have worked together for 20 years and it was always pleasant when I saw him walking the halls towards me...I knew there would be a smile on his face and that made me feel good.

To the entire Hall family, please accept my deepest condolences.  I really can't express how sorry I am to hear about Jay.  I was in total disbelief on Monday night as I read the words over and over on my phone.  I was a classmate with Jay from elementary school through high school in Trion, GA and we were also at UGA during the same time.  Looking back, I have a lot of fond memories of those days.  Jay was an awesome person and had all the great qualities of someone you just enjoyed being around.  It is my sincere prayer that the love and peace of God will comfort you during this time and going forward.

I knew Jay and his brothers as boys. It was a pleasure to have this youngster on my high school tennis team and what a asset he was to the game of tennis, his fellow teammates, and to me. Jay was super coachable, quick on his feet, totally respectful, always in my ear figuring a better way to strategize  doubles, and putting forth the extra effort to be the very best he could for his team. What more would a coach want for his players? Jay is glorified and plays on God's Team now. Our prayers will be with his wonderful family.
