Joyce Breckenridge

Mrs. Joyce Pair Breckenridge, age 85, passed away March 18, 2017. Mrs. Breckenridge was born September 16, 1931, in Carbon Hill, Alabama. She was united in holy matrimony to James Edward Breckenridge on November 4, 1950. Mrs. Breckenridge was a dedicated voting poll volunteer for over 40 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a long-time member of Valleydale Baptist Church. Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 21, at 10:00 a.m. at Union United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor John Loper officiating. Mrs. Breckenridge was preceded in death by her loving husband James Breckenridge, daughter Brenda Joyce Breckenridge Bowen, grandson Jason Bowen, parents George and Evie Pair, siblings Loren Torbert, Bud Pair, Trannie Holt, Buck Pair, and Buddy Pair. Her memory will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, Dale Breckenridge (Judy) and Gale Breckenridge, both of Birmingham, AL, grandchildren Amy Nance (Robin), April Billingsley (Jeff), Ginny Harrison (Don), John Breckenridge (Adrienne), Jinger Bittinger (Dan), Blake Breckenridge (Valentyme), and Katie Breckenridge; sisters Helen Johnson, Josephine Payne, Sue Jerrell, Johnnie Gail Robinson (Jimmie); brother Donnie Pair; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial donations may be made to Valleydale Baptist Church.
