Joyce Tibbs Nelson passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014. She is survived by her children, Linda N. Moon (Richard), William Edward Nelson, Jr. (Diane) and Alan Lane Nelson (Ramona); grandchildren, Susan R. Moon, James Richard Moon, Jr. (Michelle), Daniel N. Moon (Anne), John A. Moon, Ashley N. Busch (Drake), Angela N. Lightsey and William Edward Nelson, III; sisters, Peggy T. Kellum and LaRue T. Burt; and eight (8) great grandchildren. Mrs. Nelson is preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Nelson, Sr.
The funeral service for Mrs. Nelson will be at 1pm on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
