June E Harris

June E. Harris, age 86, of Pelham, Alabama, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025. Born on July 26, 1938, in Birmingham, Alabama, June lived a life full of determination, grace, and love.

She began her career in the insurance industry in an entry-level position and, through unwavering dedication and resilience, rose to become Vice President of Collins Insurance Agency. She proudly served there for over four decades.

But beyond her professional accomplishments, June’s greatest joy came from her family. She was a single mother of three and the heart of every gathering, always putting her loved ones first. Whether cheering on her great grandchildren or preparing her legendary fried turkey breast, tomato gravy or famous orange cake, June’s love could be felt in everything she did.

Her legacy lives on in the laughter, strength, and traditions of those she leaves behind. June is survived by her beloved children, Greg Harris, Cindy Dunnavant, and Karen DeeDee Sparks; her cherished grandchildren, Kristen Noles, David Gadilhe, Ashley Collins, and Josh Harris; and her 12 adored great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

June’s life was a beautiful testament to hard work and deep love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation for June will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Pelham City Cemetery following the service.
