Katherine Godwin Pearson, of Dallas County, Alabama, passed away January 16, 2016 at the age of 88. She is Preceded in death by her husband, M.A. Pearson and her daughter, Sandy Pearson. Katherine is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Pearson Bailey (Mike) and Lizabeth Anne Pearson Schropp (Mark); son Milton A. Pearson; grandchildren, Micah Bailey, Amanda Bailey Leach, Kevin Lovoy, and Cammy Lovoy; great grandson, Miller Scott Leach; sister, Ina G. Crowder; sister in law, Lucy P. Vickers. The Celebration of Life service will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday the 19th at 2:00pm with visitation starting at 12:00pm. The burial will be on Wednesday the 20th at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, AL at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen, and The Dementia Society of America or the charity of your choice.
