Kenneth Owens, 69 of Montevallo, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016. Kenneth worked for the Bell System (Southern Bell, BellSouth, South-Central Bell, AT&T) for 31 years. He worked for Electronic Data Systems for 6 years.
Mr. Owens is preceded in death by his parents, R.J. and Gladys Owens. He is survived by his wife, Kayren Lovelady Owens; children, Marcus Brandon Owens, Margaret Brooke Owens and Ashley Nichole Smitherman; brothers, David Owens and Jerry Owens; and sister, Gelene Redmon. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The celebration of Kenneth’s life will be at 2pm on Thursday, October 20, 2016, with burial following at Helena City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a visitation Wednesday evening from 6pm until 8pm.
