

Kyle Dee McLain, 76, of Pelham, Alabama passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on June 20, 2025. He was a kind, generous man who will always be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and friends.
Born to Donaghe David McLain and Lorene (Bowline) McLain on September 4, 1948 in Vinita, Oklahoma. He attended Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma and maintained several life-long friendships; with many of his friend’s children still referring to him as “Uncle Kyle." He will be missed by many. He cared deeply for people and was a true philanthropist at heart, giving to others even when it meant he may do without. Shortly after high school he was enlisted into the United States Army where he bravely served our country during the Vietnam War; receiving both a Purple Heart and a Combat Infantryman Badge.
An entrepreneur and businessman at heart, he spent his career in sales across the country. At an early age he began creating and investing in corporations, either owning or co-owning several companies throughout the southwest and southern United States.
Kyle was a long-time member of Horizon Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father, Donaghe David McLain, his mother, Lorene Kinney, his sisters, Kathy McLain and Connie Battenfield and his brother, Kennith McLain.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa McLain; two children Kyla (Eddie) Higgins, Alabaster, Alabama and Matthew (Rachel) McLain, Helena Alabama; his sister, Debbie (Jim) Heard, Vinita, Oklahoma his brother, Mike (Vicki) Inman, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren Kylie, Kaitlyn, Auburn, Kelsi, Sarah, Claire, Kyle, and Nick, all of whom he loved dearly.
The family will greet friends at Horizon Church in Vestavia, Alabama from 1-2 pm, followed by a Service of Remembrance beginning at 2pm. All are welcome to attend.
Inurnment with military honors will be held at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
