Leonard Wilson Harrison, known to family and friends as Len, was born on April 20, 1947, and passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026 surrounded by love. He was a proud husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and a man whose life was defined by loyalty and quiet devotion to the people and animals he loved.
Len was a United States Marine, and he carried that sense of duty and strength with him throughout his life. He believed in showing up and doing what needed to be done. He was not a man of grand speeches, but his actions spoke clearly—especially through his consistency and generosity.
Len was a devoted and proud husband, and the love he held for his wife Vicki remained a constant presence in his life. He carried her with him always, and their bond shaped who he was.
His legacy will live on through his daughters Shelly Thomas and Staci Elder, his son-in-law Iman Elder, his grandsons Austin Kilpatrick and Jacob Doe, his daughter-in-law Vanessa Kilpatrick, and his great grandchildren Pierce Kilpatrick and Kaylie Jane Kilpatrick.
A service will be held to honor Len’s life, service, and memory. He will be remembered for his strength, his devotion, and the quiet love he gave so freely to those closest to him.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made via Venmo to @Sky-Elder.
A committal service will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL, 35124. The service is scheduled for Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11:00 am.
