Linda "Faye" Morris

Linda Faye Alexander was born in Atlanta, GA on 8-26 41 to James and Alma Alexander. She was a member of Corner Baptist Church in Powder Springs, GA. She met her husband Wendell Glenn Morris at McEachern High School, where they both studied. They were married in 1957, began their family in 1960, welcoming 3 children in the years that followed. They were happily married for 68 years. She passed away peacefully in her sleep, on August 17, 2025 after a brief illness.

After moving to Alabama in 1970, Faye was a member of Siluria Baptist Church and later Indian Springs Baptist Church. She served the Lord every day of her life. She was an accomplished homemaker and, in the 1980's, enjoyed a fun career as a customer liaison and retail demonstrator for the Hoover Vacuum Company. Her sweet spirit and soft Southern charm brought her many lifetime friends all across Georgia and Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jim Alexander, and son Jeff Morris.

She is survived by her devoted husband ,Glenn, and her children Jennifer Morris Newton (Gary) and Jon Morris (Samantha). She leaves grandsons Robert Morris, Nick Morris, and Wyatt Morris as well as granddaughters Opel Morris, Elise Morris, and Savannah Morris. Nephews Tim Alexander (Bari), Preston Morris (Cathy), and Bruce Morris. Nieces Terri M Caldwell (Tom), Sonya Stockwell (Robert) and Kelly Morris. Brother in law Herbert Morris and sister in law Susan Morris Wade.

A visitation for Linda will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
