EVANS, MARGARET ANN, age 82, of Birmingham, AL went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 30, 2013. She was a member of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Alice Funk. She was the bride of Lon Evans for 60 years. In addition to Lon, survivors include Peggy's three daughters, Susan Griffin (Lyles), Wendy Meadows (David), and Joanne Phillips (Jim); four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one brother, Joe Funk. The family will celebrate Peggy's homegoing on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., followed by the 11 a.m. service in Southern Heritage Chapel. Rev. Tom Caradine will officiate.
