Marshall C. Glass

Marshall C. Glass, age 86, passed away at his home on October 30, 2021. He graduated from Fairfield High School and began a career at U.S. Steel. He served briefly in the U.S. Navy, then returned to U.S. Steel where he worked for 30 years. After retirement he formed his own company Whole House Cleaning and Repair Service in Ensley along with his son Barry, operating the company for 20 years. Marshall is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen Maxine Glass; daughter, Kelly McLendon (John) of Helena; son, Barry (Ann) of Hoover; seven grandchildren, Travis (Tessa), Brantley, Daniel and Jeremy Glass, Jared McLendon (Marie), Hayley McLendon and Mallory Thomason (Ronnie); and one great-granddaughter, Destanie Thomason; one brother, Charles (Willene) of Pelham and sister, Mary Jane Orr of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.V. and Olis Glass. Marshall was a long time member of Vinesville Baptist Church in Birmingham and then moving to Logan Martin Lake he has been a member of Cropwell Baptist Church since 2007.

A visitation will be held at Cropwell Baptist Church on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, immediately following the church service.
