Mary, also known as “Meme” was a kind person to everyone, a true saint of the Lord. Her family felt so blessed to spend time with her, making memories, and soaking up her amazing wisdom and advice. Meme taught her family to be true followers of Christ and to serve Him and love His people. She lead by example and was a mighty prayer warrior.
Mary was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Alabaster and taught first graders in Sunday school for over 50 years, where she was an inspiration to generations of children and their families. Although her family and friends will miss her terribly, they take comfort in knowing that Mary was a witness for Christ every day of her life and lived for Christ up until she took her last breath and joined Him in heaven.
There will be private graveside services at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations in Mary’s name to the “Bridge to the Future” fund at First Baptist Church of Alabaster.
