Carl graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Civil Engineering and served four years in World War II as a Lieutenant. He worked 40 years in the Mining Division of United States Steel Corporation. He was a member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church in Birmingham.
Carl leaves behind his beloved Joy, his daughter, Ann Moore Honeycutt of Pensacola; and her three sons, step-son Jim Rolen (Linda) of Atlanta, Georgia, and his two sons; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
Funeral services will be at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour before the service.
