Mike Burns Holt, of Alabaster, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014. Mr. Holt is survived by his loving wife, Carol Jean Holt; son, Steve Holt (Buffie); step-daughter, Jeannie Lindsay; brothers, Charles Holt (Ruth) and Lanny Holt (Gwenda); sisters, Barbara Ellen Templin and Joan Moody (Bruce); grandchildren, Aubrey Holt, Olivia Holt, Gavin Holt; step-grandchildren, Sam Lindsay and Amanda Reeder (Brett); step-great grandchild, Charlie Jean Reeder; mother-in-law, Frances Adkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loved ones and friends. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Kirk and Fannie Holt; and a brother, Pat Holt. The family would like to extend much gratitude to Gentiva Home Health Care and Gentiva Hospice, as well as the members and friends at the Local Union #91 and the Brooklin Masonic Lodge #704. Services for Mr. Holt will be at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 2pm, with burial following at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham, AL.
