Mildred Moody McDanal

MCDANAL, MILDRED MOODY, of Montevallo, Alabama and formerly of Bluff Park, Alabama, passed away July 12, 2012. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, James Alfred McDanal, Sr., and sister, Ethel Moody Moore. Survivors include sons, Jimmy, Scott (Terri), and Gary (Jodi); four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other family and friends. Mildred graduated from Shades Cahaba High School, now Shades Cahaba Elementary. Alfred and Mildred McDanal were owners of Shades Crest Hardware for many years and were members of the Country Bears Camping Club. Mildred was a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church and Bluff Park Garden Club. The family wishes to express their sincere heartfelt thanks for the services of Vitas Hospice, and a special thanks for Shandon Jackson with Vitas Hospice for her special service. We would also like to thank Joyce Keel for her companionship to Mildred. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham, Alabama. The 1 p.m. funeral service will be Monday, July 16, 2012 in Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
