Yes, Miss Mildred suffered from dreadful Alzheimer's, but this disease did not define her. She loved her Lord, her family, and her work.
At age 43, Miss Mildred began a successful 24-year career in real estate. It was while working at First Real Estate that she became known as Miss Mildred. She often commented about the joy she felt helping those clients to buy their very first homes as she knew the importance of owning your own home. In those 24 years, Miss Mildred received numerous awards, but the one that meant the most to her was The Golden Rule Award. This is truly the way she lived her life.
Also, Miss Mildred was a charter member of Westwood Baptist Church in Alabaster, AL, where she served as church secretary and a member of the Finance Committee. She was currently a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Hoover, AL.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Lakeside Baptist Church, Hoover, immediately followed by the Celebration of Mildred's Life at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial, Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham, AL.
