

She was born on January 24, 1942, in Rueville, Mississippi to the late Grady Lee and Verde Lee Bowman. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Bette Herrington. Nola attended Mississippi Delta College and worked with the Social Security Administration where she retired at a grade 13. She enjoyed reading and loved to garden.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of almost 60 years, Charles Wayne Smith; her children, Richard "Ricky" W. Smith (Sonja); and Staci Ann Parker (Phillip); grandchildren, Anna-Marie Smith Ramey (Bradley); Mary-Kathryn Smith; Hannah-Grace Smith; Jenna Ann Parker; and Jada Marie Parker. She is also survived by her siblings, Eugene Bowman (Tere); Donny Bowman (Donna); Debbie Duke (Neal); Virginia Cowley (James Cunningham); and Tammie Goodin (Mike); along with other family members, Cliff Bowman; Laurie Bowburger; Les Herrington; Millie Heffner; Tripp Duke; Jade Cummings; Matthew Bowman; Erin Landrum; Leslie Chttavanichprapa; Joshua Duke; Brandi Sheffield; Logan Goodin; Valerie Jones; and Natalie Goodin.
A visitation will be held at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday, November 14, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
