P. Brody Stephens

November 27, 1973 – January 8, 2018

Brody Stephens, 44 of Pelham, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018. Brody was a fantastic chef and an avid University of Alabama fan. He enjoyed music, gardening, movies and facials. Brody’s laughter was contagious, as he was always telling a joke. He had a special love of dogs, especially Piper and his childhood dog, Holly. Brody was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

Mr. Stephens is preceded in death by his father, R. Michael Stephens and by his step-father, Melvin Murphree. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Nickles Stephens; mother, Dianna B. Murphree; step-daughters, Libby Grace and Leah Claire; brothers, Daniel Brady Stephens and Michael Brandy Stephens; step-sisters, Lisa Gamble and Kathy Stephens; niece, Lauren Stephens; and nephews, Matthew, Taylor and Brandon Stephens. Also left to cherish his memory are aunts, uncles, cousins and many other friends and loved ones.

The celebration of Brody’s life will be at 2pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, with visitation beginning at 1pm. Brody will be laid to rest at Genery's Community Cemetery (formerly Macedonia) at Southcrest Baptist Church in Bessemer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shelby County Humane Society.
