

He was born on June 1, 1944, in Florida to Paul Harold and Mary B. Kellogg. Paul attended the University of Montevallo where he played basketball and in 1996 was inducted into the Montevallo Sports Hall of Fame. After college, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he obtained the rank of Captain and received the Bronze Star for Valor. He was a lifetime member of the Marine Corp League Howlin’ Mad Smith Detachment. After his military service, Paul held various roles from coaching, teaching, and working in administration for over 40 years in public school. In 1993, he was the State 2A Football Championship Defensive Coordinator.
Preceding him in death is his wife, Pamela Stewart Kellogg.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Paul Harold Kellogg III (Shari); Patrick Stewart Kellogg (Katie); and Priscilla Kellogg Richardson (Garrie); his grandchildren, Paul Harold Kellogg IV; Abigail Grace Kellogg; William Edward Richardson; Charlotte Elisabeth Kellogg; Benjamin Patrick Richardson; and Audrey Jane Kellogg. He is also survived by his two brothers, Peter Kellogg and Phillip Kellogg.
A funeral service will take place at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 10:30 am with a visitation beginning at 9:30 am. A committal service will follow at 1:15 pm at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama with military honors.
