Penny loved to bird watch and now flies with the ones she once observed. She loved to dance with her many friends and now does the waltz and foxtrot on streets of gold.
Penny was preceded in death by her husband, James E Richards, Sr. Survivors include three children, Jay Richards (Denise), Alicia Richards Farmer (Kent), and Philip Richards (Jennifer); six grandchildren, April, Evan, Crystal, Kristen, Candice, and Valerie; one great grandchild, Eric; and beloved dog, Maci.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The Celebration of Penny’s Life will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Ridout’s Southern Heritage Chapel. Burial, Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, Alabama.
