

Richard Lane Eubanks was born September 3, 1966 at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He left this earth October 30, 2021, at his home in Alabaster, Alabama, to join his Mom, Linda Sweeney Hicks, and his Granny and Granddaddy, Henry and Ethel Sweeney, in the folds of Heaven.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Stacey Leitherland Eubanks; his daughters, Ashley Garove (Zach) and Audrey Eubanks (Spenser); his granddaughters, Baylor and Ellie Banks Garove; his brother, Randy Eubanks; his nephews, Bryant and Trevin Eubanks; his father, Ron Eubanks; and many cousins, great nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.
Richard was known by many names: Rich, Richy, Richard, and Dad, but his favorite of all might have been Granddaddy. He loved all of his girls and had a heart of gold. He was an avid outdoorsman who could be found on a fishing boat or the woods in any of his free time. He loved his family and friends, Florida State football, the Gulf, traveling, his chihuahuas, Niceville, Lay Lake, and Crown Royal.
Richard was a U.S. Air Force veteran of 10 years. He was proud of his service to his country.
The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama, immediately followed by A Service of Remembrance for Richard at 12 noon at the funeral home's chapel. The gravesite committal service will be the same day at 2 p.m. at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo.
