Richard Blake Taylor passed away on September 4, 2025 at the age of 86. He is preceded in death by his parents T. Max and Alice Regina Taylor, stepmother Bess Taylor, and wife of 53 years Frances Taylor. He is survived by his children, Alice (Pat) McDuffee, Cathy (Mark) Smiley, and Sam (Kasey) Taylor; grandchildren Megan (Aaron) Godfrey, Clark Smiley, Jenny Smiley, Samantha (Jonathan) Wade, Keith (Claire) Taylor, Sadie Taylor; sisters-in-law Eleanor Terry and Gail Jones. He graduated from Florence State University with a Master’s degree in English and worked 25 years at ECI for Air University on Gunter AFB in Montgomery, Alabama. In his retirement, Richard enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing, travel and family time.
