Rita Frohlich Durnak, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, May 4, 2012 surrounded with love and prayers from her family. She was born in Selma, AL on July 24, 1924, attended Tuscaloosa High School and University of AL. She was preceded in death by her parents Alice Durden Frohlich & Sydney Joseph Frohlich of Tuscaloosa, AL & brother, Sydney Joseph Frohlich, Jr. She married her husband of nearly 68 years John Paul Durnak, Jr., Sept. 3, 1945. She retired from her position she enjoyed as Deputy Clerk of the Federal Court in 1987. Rita is survived by her husband John, her daughters Gina Durnak (Nino Martini), Terry Durnak Bresler (Milton) and her adored granddaughters Alix and Gina Bresler. A memorial service will take place at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 4600 Preserve Parkway, Hoover, AL 35226 on May 10, 2013 at 2pm, with burial following at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
