Robbie Carter Statham

Robbie Carter Statham was born on March 17, 1938 to the union of Robert Leland and Edith Odelle Swiney in Alabaster, Alabama. Robbie received her formal education at Thompson in Alabaster, Alabama. Robbie was a member of Pelham Church of God. She was married to Ralph Lavon Carter on March 26th, 1956. Their union was blessed with 5 children. She was the owner of All-Star Trophy for 28 years. In her leisure time, she enjoyed softball, square dancing and Alabama football. She was a member of the Board of Registers of Shelby County Poll Worker.

Robbie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lavon Carter; her parents, Robert Leland and Edith Odelle Swiney; her two sons, Robert Dale Carter and Ricky Allen Carter; and siblings, Daniel Timothy Swiney, Linda Warren Armstrong, and Ronald Patrick Swiney.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three children, Ralph Brian Carter, Randall Keith Carter and Russell Lane Carter; 17 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Robbie will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made to Pelham Church of God general fund.
