

Born on November 2, 1948, CowBoy was a faithful member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. His love for Christ guided his life and inspired his deep commitment to serving others. He dedicated much of his time to the Jail Ministry and the Afterschool Bible program in Meigs County. He found great joy in driving a school bus for Meigs County Schools, where he became a familiar and beloved presence and touched countless lives.
CowBoy will be remembered for his love of family, friends, and Alabama football. His greatest legacy: Dianne(Tommy) Walls, Becky (Chris) McLaughlin, April Henderson, and Jimmy (Rebekah) Henderson; grandchildren: Joy (Nathan), Trent (Amber), Austin (Dani), Zack(Misty), Taylor (Ariel), Jordan (Cassy), Alonna, Daniel,Faith, and Elijah; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, 14108 N Nopone Valley Road, Decatur, TN 37322. Friends will be received at 10:30 a.m., with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. The family invites everyone to wear an Alabama shirt or cowboy hat in his memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hold the Rope - Walls’ Latin-America Missions in support of CowBoy's grandson Taylor Walls’ missionary work in Ecuador, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
