Bob was a 1962 graduate of Bibb County High School in Centreville, Alabama and a 1969 graduate of Auburn University. He was employed as a wholesale lumber broker for 35 years. After retirement, he drove a school bus for Shelby County, Alabama Schools for 10 years.
Bob loved the outdoors and was a good, Auburn man.
He was predeceased by his parents, Roland Douglas McCary and Jane Ola McCary. Survivors include Bob's wife of 48 years, Patricia Hinson McCary; two sons, Robert Andrew McCary (Julie) and Tandy Roland McCary; and two grandchildren, Andrew Thomas McCary and Jeb Patrick McCary.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, immediately followed by the graveside service at 2 p.m. at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
