Sammy Ario Green

Sammy Ario Green, age 48, of Helena, Alabama went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2017 at 10:45 p.m. at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center. He passed away after a courageous battle with diabetes and end stage renal disease. Sammy was born on September 16, 1968 to Sammy Green and Keiko Shimashita in Chicago, Illinois. On June 19, 1999, he married the love of his life, helpmate and best friend, Jennifer Lynn McShea. Sam is survived by his daughter Sydney; his brothers, Paul Green and Ryan Green; his sisters, Emmy Yoshimura, Tina Teruel, and Jessica Lee; his stepfather, Hiromitsu Yoshimura; his stepmom, Amy Green; and his grandma, Inez Green. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Satoko Shimashita; his mother, Keiko Yoshimura, and his father, Sammy Green.

Sam had a passion for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Helena, AL. He was a loving husband and a caring father.

A celebration of Sam’s life will be held on Thursday June 8, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-3:00 pm.
