His professional career was marked by numerous distinguished accomplishments, including becoming a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In the early 2000’s Dr. Robbins was instrumental in helping to establish and develop the Bariatric Surgery Program at Flowers Hospital. He was an accomplished general surgeon in open, laparoscopic, and da Vinci robotic laparoscopic surgery. More importantly, though, he was a compassionate physician, guiding his patients through difficult times in their lives. Scott loved sports, especially golf and University of Alabama football. A connoisseur of food and wine, he loved to cook and entertain. He traveled around the world, but especially loved the Florida Gulf Coast beaches.
