Sekiko Nagai Heacock, 83, of Pelham, Alabama, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020. She was of Japanese heritage, born in Taiwan and raised in Japan. She was a well-respected owner of a clothing alterations business in Hoover, Alabama for 30 years.
"Seiko" was predeceased by her parents, Shizue and Yorita Nagai; one daughter, Mary Agnes Heacock; and one granddaughter, Hannah Grace Yeager.
Survivors include Seiko's husband of 60 years, Ed Heacock of Pelham; three daughters, Misayo Heacock Lim and her husband T.S. Lim, of Madison, Alabama, Erimi Heacock Young and her husband Brad Young, of Pelham, and Julie Ray Yeager of Chelsea, Alabama; grandchildren, Eric Lim and his wife Abbie, Meggie Lim, Kennith Young and his wife Kara, Mary Allison Young, and Paul Yeager; and two sisters, Konoe Howell and her husband Don, and Keiko Uyechi.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Seiko Heacock will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Birmingham, Alabama.
