Sharon Berry Gilbert

Sharon graduated from Columbus High School in Columbus, Mississipppi before earning her Associate Degree a Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama. She enjoyed a long career as a Registered Nurse at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama. She was also a real estate agent for Keller Williams in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Her favorite pastimes included reading, golfing, hunting, and fishing.

Sharon was preceded in death by her son, Preston Brown. Survivors include Sharon's husband, Scott Gilbert, to whom she was married on February 25, 2002; her parents, Bill and Annette Berry; four children, Matthew Brown, Parker Brown, Makayla Williams, and Kylie Gilbert; grandchildren, Elena Claire Williams, Mila Champion, and Fallon Champion; one brother, Rex Berry (Janice); one sister, Tanya Burnett (Shannon); and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will greet friends from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. Following the visitation will be A Service of Remembrance for Sharon Gilbert at 2 p.m. at the funeral home's chapel. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
