Suzanne York Bryant passed away peacefully on February 19, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Susie York, and by her husband, Joseph Royce Bryant, Jr. Royce and Suzanne were both graduates of Ensley High School and were high school sweethearts. They were married for 49 years and were long term residents of Bluff Park, moving there in 1962. Suzanne was a devoted wife and loving mother to her 3 children.
Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Dr Stephanie Whitehead (Mike), her sons, Dr. Richard Bryant (Jan), and Geoff Bryant (Linda) , 10 grandchildren, Lauren McFarland (Billy), Catherine Bryant, Carolyn Bryant, Richard Bryant, Matthew Bryant (Kelsey), Melissa Bryant, Micah Whitehead (Jana), Bethany Bass (Jeff), Jonathon Whitehead (Taylor) and Jacob Whitehead (Laura) and 1 great grandchild, Silas Whitehead.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hunter Street Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 9 AM and the funeral service will be held at 10 AM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home
