Tom was born in Tennessee and very soon moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he grew up, met and later married his wife Mary of 72 years.
Tom was recalled to the USAF in 1950 and served during the Korean War. After being discharged, he attended and graduated from the University of Florida in 1959 with a B.S. in Agriculture.
After graduation, Tom began his career in Ag-Chemical sales with Chevron, then joined Elanco (Ag-Chemical division of Eli Lilly) in 1964 and remained with them through the acquisition by Dow Chemical Co., until his retirement in 1995. During Tom’s career he spent four years in England with his family working throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Visitation will be at 2:00 on Saturday, July 30 at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home 275 Cahaba Valley Road Pelham, Alabama 35124, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:45.
