Thomas Foster Creasy

Tom was a loving and devoted grandfather, father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed.

Tom was born in Jackson, Mississippi on October 28, 1958, to Edgar Foster and Helen Fairchild Creasy.

He grew up in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, attending Auburn University upon graduation from Vestavia Hills

High School. Tom was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, where he served in multiple

capacities including fraternity treasurer and house manager. He was a Delta Zeta big brother and was

always surrounded by friends. Tom earned a degree in Accounting, returning to the Birmingham area,

working for Royal Oldsmobile, and ultimately as CFO for Crest Cadillac of Birmingham. His Crest family

meant a lot to Tom and he cherished the friendships made. While working at Crest, Tom went on to

earn his Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Tom grew up attending Green Valley Baptist Church and raised his children attending the same church.

Tom later attended Church of the Highlands.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Franklin Creasy. He leaves behind his two

sons who were his pride and joy, John David and Bradley Thomas Creasy, and their mother, Melanie

Noto Creasy. Tom gained a daughter when David married his wife, Bailey, and just a year ago added the

newest light in his life, granddaughter, Rosie. Tom also leaves behind a sister, Cindy Creasy (Scott)

Selman, niece, Shelby, nephew, Christopher (Allie) Selman and their children Prim and Foster, a brother-

in-law, Paul (Pat) Noto and nieces Lindsey Noto, Rachel (Brett) Woodward and daughter, Isla, and

Paulina (Brock) Peacock.

Tom suffered from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (“ALS”, or more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s

disease) during the final 16 months of his life. As the disease progressed, he found comfort from

caregivers who were with him day and night. He would not have survived as long as he did without the

friendship and compassion from Hope Holt. She became his refuge from daily discomfort, sharing

laughs and wonderful stories during his final months of life. We have gained a new family member in

Hope.

A private service for family and close friends will be held in Birmingham, AL. Please contact the family for
