A graduate of Mechanical Arts High School in St. Paul, Virginia was married to Clyde M. Segrest for 43 years until his death in 1986. She was a beloved wife and mother who devoted her time and love to so many friends and family. She adored all pets and animals. She enjoyed music of all kinds, feeding her hummingbirds, and was an avid reader.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Starr Clem (Martin); son, Jere Segrest (Rene'); daughter-in-law, Magelene Segrest; and grandchildren, Paula Segrest, Chuck Segrest, Johnny Segrest, Sherron Bristow, Rush Segrest, Ginger Baer, Paige Clem, and Kelly Burke. She also leaves behind her "furkids," Willie, Ginger, and Brady.
Virginia's family and friends will gather for the Memorial Service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at her long-time home church, First United Methodist Church of Slocomb, Alabama.
