FIELDS, WILLIAM RAY Age 66 of Hoover, AL, passed away in his home on December 10, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents Sallie Mae Fields and Richard O Fields, a son, Michael Folmar, and daughter, Cindy Fields. He is survived by his wife; Clovia "Skip" Fields, one brother and two sisters, daughters; Tonya Herring and Nicki Merritt, grandchildren; Brittany Herring, Michael Herring, Max Herring, and Savannah Lewis. He worked as a police officer at Midfield Police Department for three years than went to Columbiana for two years and finally retired as a Lieutenant at Hoover Police Department after 36 years. He was loved by many as a friend, father, brother, and mentor. The visitation will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL from 5pm to 7pm on Monday the 12th of December , the services will be at 12:30pm on Tuesday the 13th at Southern Heritage with an escorted procession to Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Hoover, AL >
